No matter the weather this winter, we’re here to support you. As the days get darker and the weather gets colder, we understand it’s harder to power through a run or feel like a ray of sunshine every day, which is why we want to provide support for your mind and body. Throughout November the Vitality Coaches and Experts will be helping to look after your mental health and physical health with virtual online events that you can tune into from the comfort of your home, during your lunchbreak.

Mindful Mondays

Every Monday you’ll be able to practice mindfulness with a guided 30 minute session from one of our mental health experts. Mindfulness practices can help us to increase our ability to regulate emotions, as well as decrease stress, anxiety and depression. It can also help us focus our attention and observe our thoughts and feelings. As we become more present, it can help us to make better decisions, to manage our emotions and to be fully engaged.

Turn Up Tuesdays – HIIT Sessions

Every Tuesday you can join one of our Vitality Coaches and qualified personal trainers for a 30m blast of high intensity exercise interspersed with low intensity recovery periods. Our HIIT sessions are designed for everyone no matter what level of fitness you are – from beginner to advanced you’ll be able to join in. This is a perfect way to improve your muscle strength, cardiovascular fitness and muscle toning all with minimal equipment required. Get ready to get a sweat on!

Tuesday 3rd November
– Time: 12.30pm – 1pm
– What: A 15m Tabata style training session, perfect for any fitness level as you work at your own intensity, without the need for any equipment.

– What: A 20m training session targeted specifically at lower body strength and endurance. Suitable for all levels with no need for any equipment.

Wellness Wednesdays

On Wednesdays we’ll be sharing with you wellness content across our channels to help you focus on your physical and mental health. We have two types of events that run on Wednesdays:

  • Interactive wellbeing sessions just for kids aged 8 – 13 years old with special guests. These sessions are designed to get your children involved with staying active, looking after their mental health and having fun!
  • Once a month we’ll have an an in-depth webinar discussion about a topic of wellness and this month we’re looking at mental health in the workplace. Whether you’re an employee yourself, run a business or are just looking for ways to start more conversations on mental health (in any scenario) this month’s discussion will be for you.

– What: Pink Stanley – Get active with an Olympic athlete
For kids aged 8 – 13 years old we have an exciting interactive session with an Olympic athlete! Your kids will be encouraged to take part in our short energiser exercise session, have fun with some games and stories and learn about their emotions through the use of emojis. Hosted by our Vitality coaches and very special guest.

Join us to learn about how to protect and maintain positive mental health, identify poor mental health in others, and initiate conversations to support others.

– What: Pink Stanley – Learn to cook at home
For kids aged 8 – 13 years this interactive session will be a cook-along that encourages them to make simple, delicious and healthy meals at home. Not only will your child learn some cooking skills, but they’ll also learn more about emotions through the use of emojis. Hosted by our Vitality Nutrition coaches alongside a special guest. Ingredients list will be shared prior to the event through our Facebook group.

Feel Good Fridays

We like positivity and feeling good on Fridays, and that can be inspired by access to information that helps you achieve your goals. You can join our Vitality coaches, plus some very special guests answering your questions on mental health, nutrition and diet and physical activity. To send in your questions you just need to register for the events where you can ask anything you would like to.

The panel are joined by a Paralympic legend, Emma Wiggs, to discuss traditional masculinity in modern society.
